a nice clash show for you today finds the band opening for the who in new york in september 1982.this is an audience recording but with pretty good sound quality for one of those boots.quite a short set (12 tracks) with no real surprises in terms of what was played.anyway time to listen, dance, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros - Live in Osaka
this is an incredible sounding(listen to it on some decent headphones!) gig from joe and the mescaleros recorded live in osaka, japan in 2001.it really is fantastic and features 22 songs in total.some mescaleros songs, clash covers, specials covers and even a cover of 'blitzkrieg bop' by the ramones to finish the evening off.a truly excellent gig and another which shows us how much mr. strummer is missed.anyway time for you to listen,really enjoy it,and then leave a comment.thanks!

Joe Strummer - Liverpool Calling
another post plucked from the box marked 'cd-r random' is this show 'liverpool calling' from joe strummer and his mescaleros.its a 2 cd version of the show with some great clash and even a specials cover.in what was joes last show(with the mescaleros) before his untimely death this serves as a great reminder of his musical genius and his legacy.so as you sit and listen, spare a thought for joe ,enjoy the concert and leave a comment.thanks!

The Clash - Rebellos Garajos

a nice compilation cd this one from the international beat.its labelled 'their most explosive hits' but when ripping the cd i-tunes called it 'dancehall rockers' so im not sure now.anyway some really nice versions of beat classics like 'mirror in the bathroom' and 'stand down margaret' and various others from covers of ' i fought the law' to name but a few.a nice one for 2-tone completists!so listen,skank,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

yippee.more specials dates announced in the uk for november.i shall be going to see them in hammersmith on the 25th as its the day before my birthday and about 15 mins walk from where i live.they go on sale tomorrow at 9 am.having for years thinking id never get a chance to see them in concert,twice in 1 year is fantastic.let the countdown begin..................

another post plucked from the 'cd-r mix' box is this one from the clash.i thought id posted it before but i cant find it on the blog so it may have been deleted.possibly.anyway a little while ago someone asked if i had it and i said i had(i think this when i thought id posted it!) so for them here it is.as the text file in the folder says the sound is good quality but a wee bit distorted in places so i think its probably an audience recording.i may have got the info on that text file from www.blackmarketclash.com so id advise you to go there for more details.wow im really rambling today so while im off to work i want you all to listen to this,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!

Angry Samoans - Back from Samoa
going through a box today labelled 'cd-r mix random' i came across a whole load of albums,gigs etc that i thought should be posted here.the first cd plucked at random had this on it.i first became aware of this band when the bosstones covered 'lights out' on their 'ska-core...' e.p so i must have got it around then.anyway its a great listen of short,fast punk rock with something for everyone.so play this,listen,pogo,slam dance,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!
